How computer was developed?

Charles Babbage is the mathematician who developed the Analytical engine which was the first computer in history. This machine can perform four basic operations which are addition subtraction, multiplication, and division. Punch card is used as a keyboard at that time and displays information with the help of printouts.

1st Generation (1946-1959)

First Generation computers are called Vaccum tube computer. Vacuum tubes and magnetic drums are used to build a computer. A single computer consists of multiple rooms. Machine language is used as a programming language to program a computer. Machine language is a binary language that is low-level language and not human-readable. Every computer contains four basic operations which are Input, storage, processing, and output. Vacuum computers can take input through a punchcard and after processing display in the form of a printout.

2nd Generation (1956-1963)

Second Generation computers are called Transistors computer. Transistors and magnetic drums are used to build a computer. The transistor can reduce the sizes of computers. Assembly language is used as a programming language to program a computer. Assembly language is a low-level language and human-readable. The first transistor computer is used in the atomic industries. Every computer contains four basic operations which are Input, storage, processing, and output. Vacuum computers can take input through a punchcard and after processing display in the form of printout

3rd Generation (1964-1971)

Third-generation computers are integrated circuit computers. In these generations, small chips absorb all the circuits and memory and convert computers into small pieces. High-level languages are used in computers like C, FORTRAN, PASCAL, and many more. which is easy to use and learn. Multiple applications run at a time in computers. Keyboards, mouse, and joysticks are used to take input, and monitors are used to displaying. Thousands of complex problems solved within seconds.

4th Generation (1971-Present)

Intel developed a chip in 1971 which is known as a microprocessor. Thousands of the circuits built in this single chip which is made up of silicons. Python, JAVA, SQL, C++ is used as programming which can make computers fast and reliable. Keyboards, mouse, and joysticks are used to take input, and monitors are used to displaying. Thousands of complex problems solved within seconds.
